Seahawks Sign NT Buddha Jones

The Seahawks signed rookie nose tackle Buddha Jones after he took part in rookie minicamp this weekend.

The Seahawks signed nose tackle Buddha Jones on Sunday, one day after the undrafted rookie out of Troy finished taking part in Seattle's rookie minicamp as a tryout player.

Jones, who is 6-foot-1, 307 pounds, played the last three seasons at Troy after beginning his college career at Kent State. Over the last two seasons, Jones appeared in 28 games, recording 57 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

The addition of Jones gives the Seahawks 90 players on their roster, including 17 undrafted rookie free agents, though they are allowed to carry 91 players, as they receive a roster exemption for Italian tackle Max Pircher, who is part of the league's International Player Pathway program.

The Seahawks completed their final practice of rookie minicamp on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. Check out the 12 best photos from their Saturday practice.
