KIRKLAND, WASH. - The Seattle Seahawks signed cornerback Omare Lowe to a one-year contract, the club announced Monday.
Originally drafted by Miami in the fifth round of the 2002 NFL Draft, Lowe has played for the Dolphins, Jets, Vikings, Patriots and Falcons. He played in all 16 games for Atlanta in 2006, leading the team with 14 special teams tackles before spending last season on injured reserve.
A native of Maple Valley, Wash., Lowe played four seasons at the University of Washington. He finished his career with 100 tackles, five interceptions and a school-record 24 passes defensed.
