Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold and receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba once again showed off how connected they are on Monday night. Smith-Njigba finished the game with 123 yards on eight receptions and a touchdown, and now leads the NFL in receiving yards (819).

On Seattle's third drive of the game, Darnold was able to orchestrate an 80-yard touchdown drive. The first play of that drive was a deep pass to Cooper Kupp for 32 yards. The very next play was an incomplete pass. The following six of seven plays of the drive were run plays, one of them being an AJ Barner tush push, which social media has coined, "Barn Yard." So far this season when running the play, Seattle has converted all three times.

Darnold scrambled on this drive and picked up three yards before being tackled out of bounds and picking up an unnecessary roughness call. The next play was an 11-yard touchdown reception by Smith-Njigba, who celebrated by dunking the football on the crossbar.

"That was very spontaneous," Smith-Njigba said on the celebration. "Definitely saw a lot of my favorites do it. But that was really on the spot right there."

On the celebration, Darnold added, "That was surprising because we know that's a penalty. I haven't really talked to him about that. He got up, I know that. Yeah, we'd like to maybe not do that next time (laughter)."

The entire drive was 80 yards, 10 plays, took Seattle 5:08 to score and helped put the Seahawks up 14-0 in the first quarter.

Macdonald said, "Their defense is a dang good defense. Averaging 12 points a game. I don't even know what the score was. We outperformed that."

The Seahawks defeated the Houston Texans 27-19 on Monday Night Football to improve to 5-2 on the season. Check out the best photos from inside the locker room.
