Throughout three preseason games, many of Seattle's starters and players who will be getting significant reps during the regular season didn't play at all or played very little. Seahawks 2026 first-round draft pick running back Jadarian Price is one of those players. When the Seahawks take on the New England Patriots on Wednesday, Price will play in his first NFL game in front of a crowd that includes his mom.

"I'm super excited, and it's been a dream come true, and it's finally here, and it's the moment, and I'm prepared my whole life for it," Price said.

Head coach Mike Macdonald said, "Excited for JD (Jadarian Price) to play."

"It's a big week for him; his first game and his first NFL carry at some point," Macdonald said. "That's why we practice the way we do, that's why we train the way we do, it's why we think the way we do. Take a deep breath, go stack a great play and go do it again. We're excited for it."

Though he didn't play in a preseason game, Price did have a joint practice against the Titans to get reps against a new defense.

"Although I haven't played since November, I have had a chance to go out there and callous the body," Price said.

He added, "Coach told me that was going to be my day since I wasn't playing in the game, treat that [joint] practice like a game and I did that."

Since the draft and up to this point, Price said he's been taking in knowledge from everyone around him, including fellow running back Zach Charbonnet who is recovering from an ACL injury.

"Zach's (Charbonnet) very helpful. He was one of the first guys that reached out when I got drafted. But also, we're both quiet people, so him coming up to me, and asking me, 'Hey, if you have anything, I got you.' I respect that a lot."

The Seahawks hit the practice field on Saturday, September 5 as they continue preparation for Week 1.
