Seahawks Announce Playoff Activities for Fans

Show your support by "tapping in" on the re-launched the "I'm In!" website or printing out an "I'm in!" sign.

RENTON, Wash. -The Seattle Seahawks announced today fan activities in preparation for the team's NFC Divisional Playoff game on Saturday, January 10.  Kickoff is scheduled for 5:15 p.m.

The importance and role of the fans was reiterated by Seahawks QB Russell Wilson via his postgame comments after the team's victory over the St. Louis Rams, clinching the NFC West and locking up the NFC No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

"You get to play in front of the 12s, the best fans in the National Football League, and the best fans in the world, I believe," said Wilson.  "We're going to need them, like we have all year, and we're going to need their excitement and their energy around the city and in the stadium, obviously, too."

The team has re-launched the "I'm In!" website inviting fans from around the world to "tap in" and demonstrate their support.  The site displays top cities that participate on a world map in real time. New for this year's playoff run, the website allows fans to view a full archive of tap ins and share an exclusive, Seahawks themed badge on their social media channels.  Fans are invited to "tap in" at Seahawks.com/ImIn.

Fans are encouraged to display an "I'm In!" sign at their home, work, school or car in order to join Seahawks coaches, players and staff who reach up and tap the slogan with a hand as they access the field - as a reminder to set aside distractions and focus solely on the opportunity to perform and compete.

Fans can make their own,  download the sign at Seahawks.com/ImIn or pick-up a complimentary one, while supplies last, starting on Monday, January 5 at The Seahawks Pro Shop retail stores located at CenturyLink Field, downtown Seattle, Renton Landing, Alderwood Mall, Bellevue Square and Tacoma Mall.  More locations will be announced next week.

Fans, homeowners, companies and local building owners are invited to show their passion and support for the team by adding a Seahawks theme, i.e., flags, signage, colors, lights, etc., to their homes, cars or buildings and share by using the hashtag #Hawkitecture.

In addition to their usual channels, teachers can now share how their students are exhibiting Seahawks pride via a new web page.  Teachers can upload their photos and stories at Seahawks.com/12sInEducation. A few schools will be featured each week on the team's website and social media channels.

The team will host a Blue Friday Playoff Rally at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 9 at Renton City Hall.   Fans are invited to join Seahawks alumni, members of the Sea Gals, Blue Thunder and Renton Mayor Denis Law for a ceremonial flag raising.

Fans are encouraged to join the conversation via social media with their comments and photos by utilizing Seahawks playoff hashtags including:  #GoHawks, #Hawkitecture #ImIn, and #WeAre12.
