Seahawks Announce Personnel Department Promotions

Seattle has promoted five members of its personnel department.

Renton, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks have promoted five staff members within their personnel department, the team announced this afternoon.

Scott Fitterer and Trent Kirchner now assume the roll of co-director of player personnel, working collaboratively in managing and strengthening all aspects of the Seahawks roster and directing both the college scouting department and pro personnel. Fitterer most recently served as Seattle's director of college scouting from 2011-14 and Kirchner was the director of pro personnel from 2013-14.

After one season as a national scout, and entering his ninth season in Seattle, Ed Dodds is now the team's senior personnel executive where he will help evaluate both college and pro talent.

Dan Morgan was promoted to director of pro personnel after spending the last two seasons working with Kirchner as assistant director of pro personnel.

Matt Berry takes over for Fitterer as director of college scouting in his eighth season in Seattle. Berry served as a national scout in 2014 and was a southwest regional scout for the Seahawks from 2008-13.
