Seahawks Announce Fan Information for Home Opener

Team to recognize alumni during halftime as part of 40th anniversary celebration.

RENTON, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks announced today fan activities for the regular season home opener on Sunday, September 27 versus the Chicago Bears. All gates open at 10 a.m. and kickoff is at 1:25 p.m.  All fans are encouraged to bring their 12 Flags, especially Season Ticket Holders, to help celebrate the community of 12s and further add to the gameday atmosphere.

As part of the 40th anniversary celebration, the team will recognize Seahawks Legends on the field at halftime. 

The national anthem will be performed by sisters Kirsten Ostrom-Wenlock and Heather Ostrom-Pasley.  The Ostrom sisters began singing at Seahawks games in the early 1980s, both under the age of 10, and were often joined by their mother Carolee Mayne-Watson.  Combined, the Ostroms rank among the top repeat anthem performers in the team's 40 seasons with more than 17 appearances.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington Statewill be distributing the Seahawks Gameday Magazine for $5 as part of the Spirit of 12 Partners program. All proceeds raised will be matched 100% by the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation.  

Washington's Lottery will host its annual Seahawks Tailgate in the North Plaza beginning at 10 a.m. Activities include the following:

  • Live country music performance by Aaron Crawford
  • Interactive games 
  • Raffles for autographed merchandise 
  • Photo booth
  • Opportunity for an autograph from a Seahawks Legend
  • For every $10 in "WE ARE 12" *Scratch *tickets purchased, fans will receive $10 in CenturyLink Field concession coupons good for the remainder of the regular season

American Family Insurance Touchdown City, located in the CenturyLink Field Event Center, is free and opens at 10 a.m.   The Rhythm Nation will perform popular dance, R&B and rock music on the main stage from 11:20 -11:50 a.m. and from 12:20-12:50 p.m.  Additional activities include the following:

  • Interactive games and contests
  • Photo opportunities
  • Airbrush tattoos and hair painting
  • Sea Gals performances
  • Seahawks Legends autograph area
  • Sea Gals autograph booth
  • Appearances by Blitz and BOOM, Seahawks mascots
  • Opportunity to take images with Taima, team's augur hawk
  • The Pro Shop kiosks
  • 710 ESPN featuring live reports and pregame analysis
  • Season long food and beverage specials including $5 beers and $3 hot dogs

The team's #12sCam will stream live video of fans from Touchdown City.  The #12sCam captures the mood and excitement of gameday and provides a platform for fans to share messages, cheers and shout-outs to players, coaches, family and friends.  The live video feed will be streamed on Seahawks.com from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The MacDaddy Band will perform music from the 50s, 60s, and 70s rock in the Brougham Beer Hall from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
