Seahawks Announce Blue Friday Activities For Divisional Round

The team announced today fan activities on January 13 with Blue Friday rallies in Everett and Redmond.

RENTON, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks invite fans to demonstrate their spirit this week and on "Blue Friday" January 13 in preparation for the team's NFC Divisional Round Playoff game on Saturday, January 14 at 1:35 p.m. (PT).  The team announced today fan activities featuring Seahawks Legends Brock Huard and Sean Locklear who will join members of the Sea Gals, Blue Thunder and Blitz on the Blue Friday Bus Tour. The group will travel via a Seahawks wrapped motor coach and participate in Blue Friday rallies with brief stops along the way to greet fans and distribute rally cards.  Seahawks Blue Friday events for January 13 are listed below.

Seahawks Legend Sidney Rice will raise 12 Flag on top of Space Needle.

11 a.m.     

Blue Friday Rally at Snohomish County Plaza, Everett (3000 Rockefeller Avenue)

Join County Executive Dave Somers, Mayor Ray Stephanson and Seahawks Legends Brock Huard and Sean Locklear for a traditional "pep" rally and ceremonial flag raising.

1 p.m.

Seahawks Blue Friday Rally at Center Court, Redmond Town Center (7525 166th Ave. NE)

Join representatives from the City of Redmond and Seahawks Legends Brock Huard and Sean Locklear for a traditional "pep" rally and ceremonial flag raising.

Fans are invited to pick-up an "I'm In" rally card to display at their home, work, school or car in order to join Seahawks coaches, players and staff who reach up and tap the slogan with a hand as they access the field - signifying a commitment to compete, set all distractions aside and focus solely on the opportunity at hand.  Complimentary rally cards are available for pick-up, while supplies last, at all four team Pro Shops located at CenturyLink Field, downtown Seattle, Renton Landing and Alderwood Mall. 

Fans are encouraged to share their comments and photos by utilizing Seahawks playoff hashtags including:  #Seahawks and #TGIBF.

About Seahawks Legend Brock Huard

Seahawks Legend and Puyallup native, Brock Huard was selected in the third round of the 1999 NFL Draft out of University of Washington.  He spent three years with the team before being traded to Indianapolis, where he served as backup to Peyton Manning. He rejoined the Seahawks in 2004.  He joined ESPN in 2008 as a college football analyst.  Since 2009, he has been the co-host of "Brock & Salk Show" on 710 ESPN Seattle. 

About Seahawks Legend Sean Locklear

A third-round pick (84th overall) for the Seahawks out of North Carolina State in 2004, Locklear entered the starting lineup during his second season, makings 78 starts at right tackle between 2005 and 2010.  A key member of the 2005 NFC Championship and Super Bowl XL teams.  After stops with the Washington Redskins, New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons, Locklear retired after the 2013 season.

The Sea Gals, Blue Thunder, Blitz and Seahawks Legends Paul Skansi and Lawyer Milloy helped kick off Wild Card weekend with a visit to Bremerton, Washington. The crew traveled by ferry to hold rallies at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor, Safeway Silverdale and downtown Bremerton.
