Renton, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks have placed guard Rob Sims on injured reserve and signed receivers Billy McMullen and Samie Parker, the team announced this afternoon. The team also re-signed receiver Jordan Kent to its practice squad.
Sims started at right guard at Buffalo (9/7) and has started 20 of 31 career games before injuring his pectoral muscle at the Bills.
McMullen, who went to camp this season with Washington, last played in the NFL in 2006 with the Minnesota Vikings, where he played in 16 games and had a career-high 23 receptions for 307 yards and two touchdowns. For his career, he has played in 45 games with 45 receptions for 601 yards and three touchdowns. He was originally a third-round draft pick (95th overall) by Philadelphia in the 2003 NFL Draft where he spent three seasons.
Parker, who went to 2008 training camp with the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers, started 31 of 47 career games played for Kansas City and totaled 110 catches for 1,529 yards and seven touchdowns in his four years with the Chiefs. He was drafted in the fourth-round (105th overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft.
In addition, safety Jordan Babineaux and defensive tackle Rocky Bernard have been reinstated by the NFL after their one-week suspensions.
