Monday Round-Up: Bobby Wagner Tweets Out A 'Thank You' Note, 12s Respond In Force

Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner tweeted out a note thanking his teammates and the 12s for supporting him.

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Monday, July 29 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

Bobby's Back!

I'm sure you've heard the news by now that Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner has signed a multi-year contract extension to stay in Seattle. Articles, news coverage, and social media posts have been buzzing with the story surrounding the All-Pro middle linebacker, especially after he hit the practice field on Sunday at 2019 Seahawks training camp.

The one social media post that stands out amongst many, is Wagner's very own. He sent out a tweet on Sunday after practice emphasizing his appreciation for his teammates and the 12s for "holding it down for ya boy thru the process."

In a post-practice press conference on Sunday, the Super Bowl XLVIII champ took the podium to formalize his feelings regarding the extension. "It feels good to be back out there with my teammates… It's good to be back out there teaching them in person instead of off the field," said Wagner.

With a whopping 8.5K likes and almost 200 replies to his original tweet, the 12s responded to the Pro Bowler's tweet very positively.

Keep an eye out through 2019 Seahawks training camp as Bobby continues to be a leader within the team's defense. "I'm a leader, that's how I looked at it," he said. "I've always said, quarterbacks are important, but the middle linebacker is the quarterback of the defense."
