For the second week in a row, Kenneth Walker III had a strong showing.

NASHVILLE—After Seattle's Week 11 game vs. the Los Angeles Rams, head coach Mike Macdonald said, "I think Ken's (Kenneth Walker II) showing that he's earning more opportunities to get the ball. All three of our backs are doing a great job, and I think they really felt Ken yesterday, and just even in the pass game too on checkdowns and finding him late in the play."

In that game, Walker had 67 rushing yards, three receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown.

Macdonald added, "It just shows you that he's such an explosive player with a ball in his hands and he knows there's things that he needs to clean up in his game too. He's done a great job in practice doing that, and we'll continue to do that. I think Ken's showing that he deserves some more opportunities."

It didn't take long for Walker to get those opportunities, and in Week 12 Walker had 11 carries for 71 yards and was averaging 6.5 yards per carry thanks to a handful of explosive runs. Walker had four runs of 10 yards or more and three of those runs came on the same drive. On a six-play, 74-yard touchdown drive, Walker had runs of 19, 11 and 15 yards before running back Zach Charbonnet got into the endzone on a six-yard carry.

Walker also had three receptions for 30 yards. On the day, Charbonnet had six carries for 35 yards and one touchdown.

"The O-line, they did a great job today," Walker said after the game. "The lanes were there and made me and Zach's (Charbonnet) job a lot easier. And just credit to the O-line, they executed well."

After the game, Macdonald said, "I thought [Walker] did a great job. It was great to see Zach (Charbonnet) punch it in the red zone. We wanted to run. Those guys played well together. Thought they protected the quarterback well. We caught it well out of the backfield. I felt Ken (Walker) today. He made some explosive plays for us, which was great."

Receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba who is now the single-season franchise leader in receiving yards (1,313) said when Walker gets the ball, "good things [are] happening."

"It's great to see him," Smith-Njigba said. "His elusiveness is next level, never seen it before and we just got to block better and create more open lanes for him."

Although the run game has been something the Seahawks are focused on improving, for most of the season, Walker and Charbonnet have been splitting reps, so neither running back has had a particularly big game in terms of rushing yards all season.

Walker said, "I feel like it's a lot of different things that go into the run game. Different looks and the way we execute, is important too. We have to execute our tracks and make it easier for the O-line to block guys out and they do a great job."

Seahawks players celebrate the eighth win of the season after defeating the Titans 30-24 on November 23, 2025.
