NASHVILLE—The Seahawks beat the Titans 30-24 on Sunday, improving their record to 8-3.

They did, however, leave Nashville with a few new injuries as well. Safety Ty Okada, who has been starting in place of an injured Julian Love, exited the game with an oblique injury. Linebacker Chazz Surratt, a special teams standout, injured his ankle blocking on a kick return, and running back George Holani, another special teams mainstay, left the game with a hamstring injury.

Macdonald did not know the severity of those injuries immediately after the game, but did praise safety D'Anthony Bell for stepping up in Okada's absence.

"Ty has an oblique, and all of a sudden he was out," Macdonald said. "D'Anthony being ready to go—it got a little hairy there out at safety, so we had to be ready for a contingency plan—but great job. (Safeties coach) Jeff Howard did a great job of getting him ready to go, and we didn't have to change game plan. We called our stuff. And that's a tribute to him."

The Seahawks could have safety reinforcements coming this week, with Julian Love eligible to return from injured reserve after missing the past four games.

Asked if Love will be ready to return this week, Macdonald said, "We'll see. He's got a process that we've got to go through, like, we've got to take it day by day. We're hopeful, but part of the reason of putting him on IR and taking this time is to ensure when he comes back that he's ready to go, and he can go rip it the way that he plays, and we're not asking second questions. We want to make sure he's ready to go."

While the Seahawks were again without some key players due to injury, one who was able to play was left guard Grey Zabel, who left last week's game with a knee injury.

"I'll tell you what, this guy is unbelievable," Macdonald said. "He wanted to go in against their front, and I mean, what else can you say about the guy? Just elite competitor, tough as crap. Yeah, we love him. It felt like he played really good football, too, so happy for him."
