1. Jadarian Price showed off his pass catching ability.
When the Seahawks drafted Jadarian Price out of Notre Dame they knew a few things for sure. 1. They were getting a really talented running back and 2. They wanted to see more from him in the passing game, and a few days into training camp, it's apparent the Seahawks are giving him those opportunities.
"You guys have seen it. He's caught a lot of passes," head coach Mike Macondald said on Monday. "There's some variety to the things he can do out of the backfield. We'll see. Right now there's not a lot of things you're checking off of stuff that he can't do or you think that he can do. That's exciting. There's a lot of opportunity out there."
On Monday, Price's route-running ability gave him a one-up on Ernest Jones IV.
"He got me today," Jones said. "He had a hell of a route on me today. He's good. I think he's going to help us. He's doing everything right and he's got a great group of backs in front of him that are kind of teaching him the way."
On Tuesday, he ran the same route and scored a touchdown.
2. Rookie DBs teamed up for some big plays.
The first few days of camp had been relatively quiet for second-round pick Bud Clark, not because the safety out of TCU hasn't been playing well, there just hadn't been many opportunities for him to show off the playmaking abilities and ball skills that helped him record 15 interceptions over the past four seasons in college.
That changed on Tuesday, however, when fellow rookie Michael Dansby broke up a pass in the red zone, causing a tipped ball that Clark swooped in to snag for an interception. Clark made the most of the opportunity, taking off down the sideline and sprinting the length of the field before diving into the end zone, then punting the ball into the crowd.
It was the second straight strong day for Dansby, a seventh-round pick out of Arizona, who also had a strong pass breakup in a red zone drill earlier in the day. Dansby also had an interception to end Monday's practice.
3. Cody White makes the most out of every opportunity he's given.
It seems like whenever the ball goes Cody White's way, he makes the most of that opportunity. Whether it was a blocked punt, his kick return duties or a clutch 60-yard touchdown catch, he finds a way to stand out. The same was true for Tuesday's practice where he hauled in two touchdown passes. One from Drew Lock during red zone drills and another from Jalen Milroe during the 7-on7 period.
Last season, White made the 53-man roster for the first time in his NFL career after being cut before Week 1 in his first five seasons. He played in 10 games for the Seahawks, before a season-ending injury towards the end of the 2025 season. Seattle re-signed White during the offseason.
4. Jalen Milroe had his best day of camp.
Second-year quarterback Jalen Milroe has limited opportunities to shine as a third-string quarterback, and unfortunately his practice a day earlier ended with an interception, but Tuesday was Milroe's best day of this year's camp. Milroe, a 2025 third-round pick out of Alabama, had a couple of touchdown passes early in a red zone drill, one to Ricky White III and another to Cody White while rolling to his right. Milroe also showed great touch on the run, rolling left before floating a pass over intermediate coverage to tight end Eric Saubert, then he capped his big day by hitting rookie running back Jadarian Price on a deep touchdown, a play that combined a great throw by Milroe as well as a really good over-the-shoulder catch by Price.
5. The players are still exhibiting their "loose and focused" mindset.
After training camp practice ends, Macdonald gathers the team together, says a few words before either himself or someone else breaks down the huddle. More times than not, players break off into position groups for a quick message from their position coaches, or as was the case on Tuesday, a little wrestling battle. Leonard Williams and Derick Hall faced off head-to-head, so that Williams could show Hall that he's "still got it."
"Me and D-Hall (Derick Hall) just roughhousing a little bit. I always call him nephew, he calls me unc, so I've got to put him in his place sometimes. He keeps challenging me and I've got to let him know I still got it."
The roughhousing ended with Williams picking up Hall and somewhat gently pinning him to the ground as defensive end Mike Morris played referee.
The players' ability to lock in when they need to for practice but also joke around with one another when the time calls for it, is just the latest example of Macdonald's pillar of staying loose and focused.
