Twelve numbers that help tell the story of Sunday’s 26-20 overtime loss to the Rams.

The Seahawks head into their bye week with a 4-5 record after a tough overtime loss to the Rams on Sunday. There were some positives in that performance, most notably some notable improvement from the defense, but in the end the Seahawks made too many mistakes and lost 26-20 in overtime. In addition to that final score, here are 12 numbers of note from Sunday's game:

3

Interceptions thrown by Geno Smith, giving the Seahawks 11 turnovers in their five losses this season.

363

Passing yards, as well as three touchdowns, for Smith, who did a lot of really good things aside from those interceptions. Smith completed 5 of 7 pass attempts of 20-plus air yards for 157 yards and two touchdowns, according to NFL Next Gen Stats, tying for his most passing yards on such attempts since at least 2016.

0

Yards gained on third-and-1 and fourth-and-1 rush attempts in the red zone in overtime, keeping the Seahawks from potentially winning the game on the first possessions of the extra period. As Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald put it after the game, "We've got to be able to get a half yard in two shots. Great football teams convert third and fourth and short, and right now we're not doing that."

12

Penalties enforced against the Seahawks for 95 yards, marking the third time this season the Seahawks have had 11 or more penalties, including last week's loss to the Bills.

180

Yards gained by Jaxon Smith-Njigba on seven catches, matching John L. Williams for the fourth-highest receiving total in franchise history behind Steve Largent (261), Tyler Lockett (200) and Largent again (191). Largent, Lockett and Smith-Njigba are the only pass-catchers in franchise history with at least 180 yards and multiple touchdown receptions.

7

Rams three-and-outs forced by the Seahawks defense, tied for the most this season with the seven that Denver had in Week 1.

68

Rushing yards gained by the Rams, the second fewest by a Seahawks opponent this season behind the 65 gained by Miami in Week 3.

2.8

Average yards gained per rushing attempt for the Rams, the lowest by a Seahawks opponent this season. Each of the Seahawks' last four opponents averaged at least 4.8 yards per carry and gained 155 or more yards on the ground.

3 for 13

L.A.'s conversion rate on third down, the best day of third-down defense for the Seahawks since Miami went 1 for 12 in Week 3.

33

Rush attempts for the Seahawks, including 25 carries by Kenneth Walker III, their most rushing attempts since Week 1. It wasn't the most productive day, with the Seahawks gaining 107 yards, but definitely demonstrated the team's desire to find more offensive balance.

44

Yards gained on two catches by receiver Cody White, who was making his Seahawks debut after getting elevated from the practice squad. White also played 44 percent of Seattle's offensive snaps, and on special teams he contributed a huge play, blocking a punt deep in L.A. territory.

30

Length of Tyler Lockett's second-quarter touchdown reception, the 27th touchdown of 30-plus yards in his career out of 65 total touchdowns.
