When It Comes To Cancer, Offense Is The Best Defense
When it comes to cancer, offense is the best defense. That's why the Seahawks have teamed up with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health for Crucial Catch: an NFL initiative that helps save lives with early detection. Screenings for breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, prostate and skin cancer are available at VMFH locations across Greater Seattle and the South Sound.
Help in the fight against cancer and donate to the Crucial Catch Fund. In partnership with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, the Crucial Catch Fund will help local patients who cannot cover the incidental costs of cancer treatment.
On October 11, 2026 vs the 49ERS the Seattle Seahawks will support Crucial Catch.

Recognizing Cancer Patients
During the Crucial Catch game on October 20, 2025, we recognized cancer patients from Virginia Mason Franciscan Health who represent the six screenable cancers - breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, prostate, & skin. Each cancer survivor joined us on the field at halftime to ring the Crucial Catch bell which is a tradition at the hospital on the final day of treatment.
We celebrate and honor all lives past and present who have been affected by cancer and encourage our fans to help save lives with early detection.
