NFL CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
• Played in 11 regular season games, missing the last six, during Seattle's 2025 Super Bowl LX-winning season. Finished second on the team with 11 special teams tackles. Returned from injured reserve in the postseason, but was inactive for the Super Bowl.
• Saw his most time on defense in his career in 2024 with the N.Y. Jets, starting five of 17 games played.
• Has played in 41 career games with Minnesota (2021) and the N.Y. Jets (2022-24), primarily on special teams, recording 18 career special teams tackles.
COLLEGE: Surratt started his football career on the offensive side of the ball playing quarterback during his first two seasons at North Carolina. He transitioned to linebacker in 2019 where he made his debut at the position against the University of South Carolina where he posted a team-high 12 tackles, 1.0 sack and 1 PD. That same season, he led the team in tackles for loss (15.0) and earned First-Team All-ACC honors. Appeared in 34 games with 18 starts over four years (2017-20) at North Carolina and registered 207 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, eight passes defensed, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Before moving to the defensive side of the ball, as a sophomore in 2018, appeared in one game and recorded nine carries for 69 yards and one touchdown. In 2017, appeared in nine games with seven starts, and completed 107 of his 183 passing attempts for 1,342 yards with eight touchdowns, and added 85 carries for 210 yards and five touchdowns.
PERSONAL:Â Named Parade All-America and Parade National Player of the Year as a senior at East Lincoln High. Named The Associated Press offensive player of the year in North Carolina. Gatorade state player of the year. Two-time first-team AP all-state selection. MaxPreps national small schools player of the year. Broke the state record for career total yards with 16,593 and also owns the state record for touchdowns with 229 career scores. Threw for 3,536 yard and 51 touchdowns and 10 interceptions during his senior season. Also ran for 1,345 yards and 15 scores. Led East Lincoln to 30 straight wins. Broke the state record for total offense held previously by Charlotte Independence quarterback and three-time state champion Chris Leak. Named the 2014 and 2015 North Carolina Prep Player of the Year (the only two-time winner).
