Week 4: Seahawks vs Colts Picks & Predictions

Check out which side the national media is picking to win Sunday night's game between the Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts.

Here's a look at which team the national media is predicting to win this Sunday, October 1:

ESPN's Seahawks reporter Brady Henderson sees the Seahawks winning 26-16 and getting their record back to .500. "Frank Gore has been a thorn in the side of the Seahawks' defense for more than a decade, and T.Y. Hilton burned their secondary when the teams last met in 2013. So, it might not be as easy as the point spread would suggest. But the Seahawks should win to get back to .500."

Colts reporter Mike Wells of ESPN gives the edge to the Seahawks, 27-13. "Seattle gets the edge in the battle of 1-2 teams because it's playing at home, where crowd noise will play a factor, especially because the Colts have been called for a league-high seven false-start penalties this season.

Elliot Harrison at NFL.com projects a 27-14 Seattle win, "The Seahawks, who have allowed 100-yard rushers in each of the last two games, haven't suffered the indignity of three straight since 2006. Don't think Frank Gore gets there."

Pete Prisco at CBSSports.com sees a 31-10 Seahawks victory, "This was supposed to be Andrew Luck against Russell Wilson, but it's Jacoby Brissett against the Legion of Boom. Brissett played well last week against the Browns, but this is a big step up in talent. The Seahawks have to be steaming at 1-2. This is when they start to turn it around. Blowout."

David Steele at Sporting News praises Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett's play the past two weeks, but picks the Seahawks to win 28-23, "How would this season look for the Colts had Jacoby Brissett, as brand-new as he was at the time, started the opener against the Rams instead of Scott Tolzien? Brissett looks better every week and looked like he belonged against the Browns."

Chris Simms at BleacherReport.com gives the Seahawks the edge, 21-19, for two reasons, "This game is in Seattle, and it's only the third Colts start for quarterback Jacoby Brissett. He'll be facing the best defense he's seen in the NFL, and he'll be doing it in one of the rowdiest road environments there is."

Michael David-Smith and Mike Florio at ProFootballTalk.com each give the advantage to Seattle, with MDS taking the Seahawks 31-13 and Florio picking the Seahawks 17-13.

All 10 experts at ESPN.com like Seattle to win this weekend, all eight analysts at CBSSports.com pick the Seahawks, and all eight panelists at SBNation.com feel the same way.
