Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Wednesday, February 13 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

Ifedi Represents The NFC

As most football fans may know, the NFL spreads further than just the United States. The league has branches all over the world in China, Japan, Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Mexico. With all of these ties, some annual events occur to build international football fandom and the relevance of these other league offices.

Seahawks offensive tackle Germain Ifedi traveled down to Merida, Mexico to represent the NFC at the NFL Mexico "Tochito" National Tournament. The annual competition consists of multiple co-ed, youth teams from all over Mexico competing in a flag football tournament. The NFL Mexico office reached out to Ifedi and the Seahawks to make an appearance and act as an ambassador of the tournament. Ifedi, a first-round draft pick in 2016, was representing the NFC while Denver Broncos defensive end Zach Kerr was representing the AFC.

In addition to the tournament itself, Ifedi got a chance to visit some iconic locations and to meet with the Sea Hawkers México, an official fan club chapter of the Seattle Seahawks.

Mexico City is currently set to host the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers at Estadio Azteca during the 2019 NFL regular season.
