Tuesday Round-Up: Tyler Lockett Ranks No. 98 On NFL Network's 'Top 100 Players Of 2019'

Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett was ranked at No. 98 on NFL Network’s countdown list of ‘Top 100 Players of 2019.’

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Tuesday, July 23 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

Lockett At No. 98

If you happened to be tuned in to NFL Network on Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. PT, you must've caught the first installment of their annual 'Top 100' of the season series. To no surprise, you also probably saw that our very own Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett ranked at No. 98 on that list.

For the ninth consecutive year, current players in the League have voted to determine the top 100 players in the NFL. The series on NFL Network counts down the top players in the League as determined solely by the players themselves.

The embedded video above was the network's segment on Lockett, which features a multitude of highlights defining his 2018 success, along with the narration from an interview with Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly and a variety of game calls. The segment also features a few soundbites from Lockett himself, explaining how he works with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson to maximize their efforts on the field.

One significant stat to highlight from 2018 that was brought up in the segment was Wilson's perfect quarterback rating when passing to the fifth-year receiver (158.3). Lockett had 70 targets throughout the season, 57 receptions, 965 yards, and 10 touchdowns—all career highs.

"Lockett's stats combined with the advanced numbers make him one of the more underrated receivers in the NFL," said NFL.com reporter Logan Reardon in an article about the Networks first episode of the series.

Be sure to tune in to NFL Network tonight at 6:00 p.m. PT to see the next 10 players on the Network's list.
