There's a good chance that you've heard the buzz around the social media world that there has been a strong movement to bring Major League Baseball to Portland, Oregon. One of the supporters in this journey is our very own QB1.

On Wednesday, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson tweeted out a video message calling for more signatures on the Portland Diamond Project, which is an organization set to lead the movement to bring the MLB to Oregon. Wilson challenged his followers to collect the most signatures and the winner would get a hat signed by the Super Bowl XLVIII champion. He even called out Portland Trail Blazers Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, as well as former U.S. women's soccer player Abby Wambach.

McCollum promptly replied Thursday morning that he's interested in signing upon his return to the States.

Wilson's call-to-action came soon after he took over the official Twitter account of the Portland Diamond Project. For half an hour, he gained control of the account to answer questions about the MLB coming to Portland. Below are a few questions answered by the Seahawks quarterback.

A full recap of the Q&A session was written up by NBC Sports Northwest and can be found here. Wilson is one of the investors and co-founders of the Portland Diamond Project, so you should expect to see his push for the cause more and more in the future. According to an article published by ABC News, the MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said earlier this month that he'd like to expand the league by two teams, to 32. Portland could be the next, so if you're interested in signing the petition, follow this link.
