The Seahawks will face the Cardinals on Sunday in the second meeting of the season between the NFC West foes. The Seahawks won in overtime in the Week 4 game in Arizona, but will be facing a different Cardinals team this time around, with the most notable change being at quarterback, where Jacoby Brissett has taken over for Kyler Murray. The Seahawks come into the game with a 6-2 record that has them atop the NFC West, while the Cardinals (3-5) are hoping to build off a Monday night win over the Cowboys that stopped a five-game losing streak.

To get you ready for this week's game and help you learn more about the Cardinals, we asked azcardinals.com senior writer Darren Urban five questions, about the Seahawks' Week 10 opponent:

The Seahawks will be facing a different quarterback than they did in Arizona earlier this season. What has Jacoby Brissett brought to the offense since taking over for an injured Kyler Murray?

Urban: The first answer is points. The Cardinals are averaging 25.6 points a game in his three starts, a jump of more than five points from where it was. He is a different kind of quarterback, obviously. He's not going to scramble and run like Kyler Murray, but his ability to stand tall and stay in to take a hit has allowed more downfield passing. Non-Harrison wide receivers Michael Wilson and Zay Jones have become much more involved in the offense, and Trey McBride has also had his production go up some.

What's the mindset/vibe of this Cardinals team after snapping a five-game losing streak? On one hand, they're still looking up in the standings at a stacked NFC West, but on the other hand, there's still half a season left to play.

Urban: They have talked about the hole they created for themselves. But the vibe never really dove, to be honest. Frustrated? Yes. But when you lose five in a row by a total of 13 points, there is that thing that gnaws at you that you are better than what the record shows. The reality is this: The NFC West has three teams off to great starts. But if the Cardinals can win in Seattle against a team that beat them on the last play of the game, they then have the 49ers – who beat them on the last play of the game. If that were to happen, the Cardinals are suddenly 5-5 and feeling … possible.

What went into the Cardinals' defensive improvement coming out of the bye, holding a high-scoring Cowboys team to 10 offensive points? And on a probably related note, what did the debut of first-round pick Walter Nolen III and return of cornerback Garrett Williams do for the defense?

Urban: The return of Williams indeed changes completely the complexion of the secondary and frees safeties Budda Baker and Jalen Thompson to do more of what they like to do the most. Williams himself has proven to be a rising potential star himself. But Nolen looked amazing in his debut (2 TFLs, a sack, a pass batted down) and ageless Calais Campbell had two sacks. Josh Sweat has been a great addition and he had two sacks. This defense was supposed to be the strength of the team coming into the season, and it might just be morphing into that – although facing Sam Darnold and the boys will challenge that.

Aside from the obvious big names, what player/players could you see being an X-factor in this game?

Urban: I'm going to go with right tackle Jonah Williams and right guard Will Hernandez against that Seahawks defensive line. The Seahawks have a great front, and when these teams met the first time the Cardinals had trouble running and generating much offense, until the last 20 minutes or so. Now you have a QB in Brissett who isn't going to be able to escape like Murray. The pass protection has to hold up. If it does, Brissett has shown he'll get things done.

What matchup or matchups are you most looking forward to seeing play out on Sunday?

Urban: I'm going to go with Marvin Harrison Jr. vs Devon Witherspoon. Not sure if they will have Witherspoon travel, but Harrison has been trending up since his big second half against the Seahawks back in Week 4 – including that memorable leaping TD catch. Harrison had a career-best seven catches last week and he has clicked with Brissett. You figure the Cardinals are going to need to be effective through the air to stay in this game.

The Seahawks and Cardinals face off fore their second matchup of the season on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025. Kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m. PT. Take a look back through history at the Seahawks' matchups against the Cardinals.
