The fourth time's a charm for Thomas Rawls when it comes to winning Rookie of the Week at NFL.com.
On Friday, the League announced that Rawls, the Seahawks' leading rusher, was voted for the weekly honor, his first win in four nominations this season.
Signed by the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Central Michigan after the 2015 NFL Draft, Rawls rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries (5.3-yard average) and made three catches for 22 yards in the team's 38-7 road win over the Minnesota Vikings this past Sunday. It was Rawls' fourth 100-plus-yard game in six starts this season while subbing for the injured Marshawn Lynch (abdomen), who continues to recover from surgery.
To win Rookie of Week 13 Rawls garnered more votes than Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota, New Orleans Saints linebacker Stephone Anthony, Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters, and Baltimore Ravens running back Javorius Allen, who the Seahawks will face this Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.
Team photographer Rod Mar went with the Seahawks on their business trip to Minnesota and had this perspective of the team's exciting 38-7 win over the Vikings in Week 13.Â
