Seahawks Top 50 Players Position-By-Position: Safety

While voting is open, we will take a position-by-position look at all the eligible players for the Seahawks Top 50 Players.

In 2025, the Seahawks will celebrate their 50th season in franchise history and ahead of that season will be naming their Top 50 Seahawks Players. The 12s can vote now through December 22 for which players they think deserve to be a part of the Top 50 Seahawks Players at Seahawks50.com.

The eligible players include 163 players who have all played for the Seahawks at some point in their career and have met at least one of the criteria listed below.

Next season, we celebrate our 50th season. Since 1976, over 1,200 players have put on a Seahawks uniform and for our 50th season, we will recognize the Top 50 Players in Seahawks history.

Vote now for your Top 50 Seahawks Players!

  • Started at least 45 games
  • Voted to an AP All-Pro or NFL Pro Bowl team
  • Won Seahawks Man of the Year or the Steve Largent Award
  • Currently leads a career major statistical category, such as Most Receiving Yards in a Career
  • Part of an iconic moment in Seahawks history

Over the last few weeks, while voting is open, we have taken a look at each position group of eligible players. So far, we've looked at quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, offensive line, defensive line, linebackers and cornerbacks, and today we're looking at the safties.

The Seahawks have a list of 16 safeties that are eligible for the Top 50. Of the group, there are eight Pro Bowlers, six with at least one first or second-team All-Pro selection, including Pro Football Hall of Famer and Seahawks Ring of Honor member Kenny Easley, who is one of two players in franchise history to win Defensive Player of the Year honors, and Legion of Boom founders and Super Bowl champions Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor. The Seahawks franchise will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025 so in honor of its 50th season, we are recognizing some of the greatest players to play in Seattle. The 12s have the opportunity to vote for the top 50 players in franchise history, with 163 players being eligible.
