All the Seahawks news you might have missed from this week.

2025-28-11-Seahawks-Round-Up

Good afternoon, 12s. Here's a look at what's going on out there and any news you might have missed, about your Seattle Seahawks.

The Seahawks play Sunday at 10:05 p.m. PT against the Minnesota Vikings. Here is news from the week to get you ready for the matchup and other news out there about the Seattle Seahawks.

Four questions from Seahawks.com about this week's opponent; four answers from Vikings.com writer & editor Lindsey Young.

Aside from the obvious big names, what player or players could you see being an X-factor in this game?

Young: The Vikings will need to affect Sam Darnold if they want to impact a Seattle passing offense currently ranked fourth in the NFL. Of course they'll look to those big names you're referencing, such as Andrew Van Ginkel and Jonathan Greenard (if healthy), to rush a QB they're quite familiar with. But I'm also keeping my eyes on second-year pass rusher Dallas Turner and, up front, defensive lineman Jalen Redmond. A first-round pick last year, Turner has experienced some growing pains that can be expected at the position, but he's shown up on film a handful of times this season and has recorded a sack in each of his past two games. Against the Bears and Packers in Weeks 11 and 12, Turner has also totaled 10 tackles, three tackles for loss and a pass defensed. Redmond is a diamond-in-the-rough homed in on by Defensive Coordinator Brian Flores and was referred to recently as a "bright spot" by Head Coach Kevin O'Connell. The former XFL product has been a problem for opposing offenses more than once, and I expect him to show up again this weekend.

@Jborell27 asks, "Why are the Seahawks not using Kenneth Walker III?"

A: Throughout the Seahawks, Macdonald has made it clear that the Seahawks love what they have in both Walker and Zach Charbonnet, and in order to get the most out of both of their talents, while also keeping either from being overworked, they split playing time and touches pretty evenly for most of the year.

Macdonald recently said, however, that Walker was earning more opportunities with his play, and after seeing slightly more playing time than Charbonnet against the Rams while getting 16 carries to Charbonnet's 11, Walker took on even more of the load last week. Against the Titans, Walker played 30 offensive snaps to Charbonnet's 15, and he had 11 carries, as well as three catches, while Charbonnet had six carries, including a touchdown run. Those numbers, as well as Macdonald's words, indicate that Walker will have the bigger role in the offense going forward, but the Seahawks still really like what Charbonnet brings, so he'll continue to be a big part of the offense as well.

The Seahawks get to return to Lumen Field to host the 4-7 Minnesota Vikings in Week 13. The team will wear their throwback uniforms as they look to improve to 9-3.

Safety Earl Thomas III, a cornerstone of the Legion of Boom and an important part of the Seahawks' Super Bowl-winning team, is a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2026. This marks his second time making it to the semifinalist stage, after reaching this point last year in his first year of eligibility.

The list of modern-era eligible players will be reduced to 15 finalists later this year and then the 2026 Hall of Fame class will be announced ahead of Super Bowl LX in February.

Seahawks fourth-year left tackle Charles Cross was announced as the Seahawks' nominee for the 2025 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award.

A panel of former players will select eight finalists from the initial list of 32 nominees, and those eight finalists will be listed on the Pro Bowl ballot in December for players to select a winner.
