Seahawks place Jordan Hill on injured reserve

Safety Steven Terrell has been signed from the practice squad to the active roster.

Renton, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks have placed DT Jordan Hill on Injured Reserve, signed S Steven Terrell from the practice squad to the active roster and signed DT Jimmy Staten to the practice squad, the team announced this afternoon.

Hill was originally drafted by Seattle with the 25th pick in the third round (87th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. He saw action in four games as a rookie and recorded seven tackles (4 solo), including 1.5 sacks. He played in 13 games this season, recording 19 tackles (15 solo), including 5.5 sacks in the last six games, three fumble recoveries and recorded an interception vs. St. Louis (12/28).

Terrell was signed to Seattle's active roster from the practice squad on October 11 but was released on October 14 and re-signed to the practice squad on October 15. He was signed to the active roster October 18 but was released November 18 and added back to the practice squad on November 19. He has played in four games in 2014 with one special teams tackle. Terrell originally signed with Seattle on July 26, 2014. He was cut on August 30 and signed to the practice squad on September 1. He spent parts of 2013 on both Jacksonville and Houston's practice squads.

Staten was drafted by Seattle with the 32nd pick of the fifth round (172nd overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. He was released August 30 but signed to Seattle's practice squad on August 1 and has spent the season on and off of the practice squad.
