Seahawks And Vikings Not Expected To Play In Tonight's Preseason Game

A look at who isn't expected to play in tonight's game, plus some pregame notes and links.

SEATTLE—The Seahawks and Vikings are going through pregame warmups on a warm evening ahead of tonight's preseason game. Tonight's game, the second of Seattle's preseason, can be seen on Q13 FOX in the Seattle area, and heard on 710 ESPN Seattle and KIRO Radio 97.3 FM. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said starters will "play quite a bit more" than they did in the preseason opener at Kansas City, but not everyone will be available.

While there are not official inactives in the preseason, the following players are not expected to play tonight: WR Deshon Foxx, CB DeAndre Elliott, WR Kevin Smith, RB C.J. Prosise, S Kam Chancellor, RB Thomas Rawls, LB Brock Coyle, TE Jimmy Grhaam, DT Jordan Hill and DT Sealver Siliga.

Carroll had said after Wednesday's practice that tackle J'Marcus Webb was unlikely to play, so the fact that he isn't on that list is likely a good sign for the knee injury that kept him out of last week's game. In addition to Webb, other players back after missing last week's game include receiver Kasen Williams, running back Zac Brooks and defensive end Michael Bennett.

For the Vikings, WR Jarius Wright, CB Melvin White, CB Tre Roberson, S Anthony Harris, LB Eric Kendricks, LB Brandon Watts, G Brandon Fusco, DT Sharrif Floyd and DT Scott Crichton are not expected to play.

If you need a little pregame reading to pass the time between now and kickoff, here are six things to watch in tonight’s game. One item on that list is which young roster hopeful can step up, something undrafted rookie Tyvis Powell was able to do last week in Kansas City.

Also, if you're attending tonight's game, keep an eye out for these fan experience enhancements in the stadium, as well as new food and drink options.
