Qwest Field and Levy Restaurants Launch All-New Concessions for 2008 Seahawks Season

Redesigned concessions and new menus add to game day excitement at Qwest Field.

SEATTLE, WASH. - When the Seahawks take to the field to kick off the 2008 season, Qwest Field and Levy Restaurants, the official restaurant partner at Qwest Field, will launch all-new redesigned concession stands with new menus that embrace local Seattle flavors. Levy Restaurants Executive Chef Jon Severson has spent the off-season working with Qwest Field to develop a completely new experience for fans at the concession stands, creating new menus that feature unique new additions and traditional favorites.

Almost two years in the making, the new concessions will score big with all fans with unique options such as Thai and various globally influenced pastas to traditional favorites such as the Seattle Dog, topped with cream cheese. Fans will also enjoy local flavors on the new menu, particularly with the new two-foot salmon sausage that Chef Severson created with a local sausage maker, which will be served topped with basil cream cheese. "The new concession menus really gave me the opportunity to be creative and incorporate some great locally-influenced cuisine," says Levy Restaurants Executive Chef at Qwest Field, Jon Severson. "From the new look to the new flavors, I hope that fans enjoy the culinary experience as much as the action on the field!"

Additional highlights from the new concession stands include:

  • Longhorn BBQ: Barbecue favorites including barbecue beef sandwiches and barbecue pulled pork sandwiches Global Bowl: Chicken pad thai, beef & broccoli bowl and mac & cheese Taco Ma's - Viva El Dolce: Barbacoa beef burritos, tinga chicken burritos, barbocoa beef nachos and tinga chicken nachos Thai Place: Showering rama chicken, pad thai with prawns and fried rice Seattle Dogs: Signature foot-long hot dog, Seattle-style hot dog topped with cream cheese and the new two-foot salmon sausage topped with basil cream cheese Loud & Proud: Nachos grande with chili, cheese, salsa, avocado crema and jalapenos Pie in the Sky: Variety of fresh made pizzas Gridiron Grill: Fresh grilled burgers such as the bacon cheddar burger

"We will continue to add elements to make Qwest Field one of the premier venues in the NFL by offering new and innovative menu choices to enhance the gameday experience," said Seahawks COO John Rizzardini.

Also new this year in concessions, Chef Severson has also created special one-time only game day menu items at select concession stands that embrace flavors of the visiting team. At Ciao Down and 12th Man Burger on the club level and Seattle Dogs on the main concourse, fans can order specialty items that will change for each game, such as Chicago Dogs at the Chicago Bears game, pizza with spicy chorizo, roasted corn & red peppers with pepper jack cheese at the Arizona Cardinals game and burgers topped with sauteed spinach, thick cut bacon bits, and cheddar cheese at the Green Bay Packers game.

Fans will also enjoy a few new culinary touches throughout the stadium on the club level, in the luxury suites and the FSN Lounge. In the Club Concessions, the Dungeness crabwich - Dungeness crab cakes topped with shrimp Louis salad on a toasted Kaiser roll-is the must-try item and a fan favotie. In the FSN Lounge, Chef Severson has expanded on the Chef's Harvest Table program, which feature organic and local dishes including ingredients from Kinsey Farms (Sunnyside, Washington) and Picha's Berry Farm (Puyallup, Washington), and also focuses on responsible and sustainable seafood choices through the use of the Monterey Bay Aquarium seafood watch list. New in the luxury suites, fans will get a taste of dishes that speak to the Seattle-area tastes including the Seattle Salad, made with free-range chicken, organic greens and Oregon blue cheese and the Tall Grass sirloin sandwich, made with grass fed sirloin with balsamic red onions and garlic thyme aioli on toasted ciabatta bread.
