The Seattle Seahawks face the Commanders on September 27 at Northwest Stadium as part of Week 3 of the 2026 NFL season. Kickoff is set for 10:00 a.m. PT. Here's what local and national media are predicting:

"Once upon a time, Dan Quinn was the Seahawks' defensive coordinator. Those days are gone forever. (Although he could be a defensive coordinator again, as soon as next year.)"

"There is a quarterback shortage in this country, best shown by Mariota popping up as a starter somewhere seemingly every season. Against bad teams, he can sometimes overcome his inaccuracy with his mobility, but here, he gets the Seahawks' Cover 6-heavy defense — complete with two defensive tackles who don't budge from run blocks — which is allowing only 125 passing yards a game. The Commanders have not thrown a TD against a Cover 6 defense since Week 13 of 2024. The Commanders fall to 0-3, but Daniels' injury might save Dan Quinn's job because no one expects him to win with Mariota."

"The Seahawks are out on the road for the second straight week, but they get a break playing Commanders backup quarterback Marcus Mariota. With Jayden Daniels out, the Seattle defense will have a much easier day. Drew Lock played well last week, and that will continue here. Seattle takes it."
