Bill Bender of The Sporting News has Brock Purdy continuing his success with San Francisco by beating the Seahawks 31-23 in the Wild Card round. "Look for Purdy to continue the connection with George Kittle, who has seven TD receptions the last four weeks. That red-zone scoring will be the difference."

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio has the 49ers ending the Seahawks season with a final score of 27-21 in their Wild Card matchup. "The 49ers are the better team. But the Seahawks aren't intimidated by the best team in football, given that they know each other well. The weather will help keep it close, but the 49ers should make it to the next round."

Colin Cowherd spoke on his radio show The Herd and predicted the 49ers will beat the Seahawks in the Wild Card round. "The Seahawks have sputtered for six weeks, I think San Francisco has a chance to make that ugly very quickly."

Hosted by sideline reporter Jen Mueller and Seahawks Senior Digital Media Reporter John Boyle, the Seahawks Insiders podcast takes an in-depth look at each week's Seahawks game and analyzes the previous week's matchup. Available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and wherever else you get your podcasts.

Pro Football Talk's Michael Davis Smith is going with his colleague Mike Florio and taking the 49ers to beat the Seahawks heavily with a score of 30-13 in the Wild Card round. "Smith leading the Seahawks to the playoffs has been a great story, but the story comes to an end on Saturday, when the 49ers' defense will shut Smith down, but Purdy and the 49ers' offense should have a big game."

Enzo Flojo of ClutchPoints predicts the Seahawks wide receivers to "do damage" especially star wide receivers Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. "Seattle QB Geno Smith has the advantage of working with two elite receivers, Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. Both have recorded 1,000+ yards this season. For Lockett, this is his fourth consecutive 1,000-yard season. He finished the regular season with 1,033 yards on 84 receptions, while Metcalf had 90 catches for 1,048 yards. That's the most on the team."

Fansided's 12th Man Rising ran a staff panel and the 3 writers sided with the Seahawks to upset the red-hot 49ers in the Wild Card round "Seattle has overcome expectations all year, do they seem to be able to defeat the 49ers on Saturday? Not really. But then few thought they would go 9-8 this year. Few thought Geno Smith would make the Pro Bowl. The Seahawks could very well surprise and beat San Francisco. Why? No idea. But there was no logical reason for them to have a successful 2022 either, and yet they still did it."
