A look at some memorable moments in Seahawks history that occurred on Oct. 27:
1991: John Kasay kicks two field goals of 50-plus yards (51 and 54), tying the NFL record for a game, in a 20-9 win over the San Diego Chargers. His 54-yarder also tied the team record for distance. Tony Woods paces the defensive effort with nine tackles and a sack.
1985: Jacob Green returns a fumble 79 yards for a touchdown and also has one of the Seahawks' seven sacks of Ken O'Brien. But the Jets' quarterback throws a 15-yard touchdown pass to Wesley Walker to cap a 91-yard drive in the fourth quarter and Freeman McNeil runs for 151 yards as the Seahawks fall 17-14 at Giants Stadium. The Seahawks other TD comes on a 45-yard touchdown pass from Dave Krieg to Daryl Turner.
1996: The Seahawks start a three-game winning streak with a 32-13 victory over the Chargers at the Kingdome. Darryl Williams returns one of his two interceptions 79 yards for a touchdown, while Chris Warren runs for 146 yards and Todd Peterson kicks four field goals.
2002: The Cowboys' Emmitt Smith runs for 109 yards to surpass Walter Peyton as the NFL's all-time leading rusher, but Rian Lindell kicks a 20-yard field goal with 25 seconds left to give the Seahawks a 17-14 victory at Texas Stadium. The afternoon also is significant because Seahawks quarterback Trent Dilfer is lost for the season with a ruptured Achilles and wide receiver Darrell Jackson has a seizure in the locker room – while Smith is being honored on the field during a postgame ceremony. Shaun Alexander runs for two touchdowns for the Seahawks.
