Scott is a four-time FSWA award winner and a 13-time nominee. You can find more of his fantasy football analysis and weekly fantasy football rankings at RotoBaller.com and he is also a host on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio.

Scott finished as a top 15 player ranker in Fantasy Football Week 5 and as a top 10 ranker in Week 2 on FantasyPros.com. He was the No. 1 tight end ranker for Week 5.

If you survived Week 8, with six teams on bye, the challenges get slightly easier in Week 9. Four teams will be on bye this week, which is the most we will see in any week the rest of the season. The Eagles, Buccaneers, Browns and Jets are off for Week 9.

The Seahawks are one of the teams returning from a bye, and some of their top offensive players are worthy of strong fantasy lineup consideration in a matchup vs. Washington. The must-start Seahawk, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, still leads all wide receivers in fantasy football with 170.6 PPR points despite his week off. The next closest WR has 155 points.

We provide highly recommended starting and streaming options for Fantasy Football Week 9 and include our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Power Rankings. Potential pickups are listed in order of preference.

NFL Week 9: Wide Receivers To Start

START Travis Hunter: Before last week's bye, the rookie posted his best numbers of the season in Week 7 Hunter caught eight passes on 14 targets for 101 yards and a TD. This week, Jacksonville faces Las Vegas, which ranks 29th in Fantasy Points Per Game allowed to WRs. Hunter has been targeted 21 times over his past two games.

START Wan'Dale Robinson: Over the past four weeks, San Francisco ranks 29th in FFPG allowed to WRs. Robinson's production has been increasing overall since Jaxson Dart took over at QB for the Giants. Other significant injuries on the New York offense will ensure that he is leaned on often. Before last week, Robinson totaled 17 receptions on 26 targets in a three-game span.

START Quentin Johnston: He was not targeted at all in his last game played, so it's understandable that many fantasy players will be hesitant to start him in Week 9. Overall, though, Johnston was on his way to seemingly the best season of his career so far until last week. The third-year WR will likely get back into the offensive flow against the Titans, who rank 25th in FFPG allowed to his position.

START Cooper Kupp: Smith-Njigba is delivering a stellar season so far, and other pass-catchers can benefit from opposing defenses heavily focusing on him. This will be a week where you can stream Kupp if a lineup plug-in is needed. Over the past four weeks, the Commanders have allowed the third-most yards to opposing WRs.

More Fantasy Football WRs To Start in Week 9: Jaylen Waddle vs, Baltimore, Jordan Addison vs. Detroit, Tre Tucker vs. Jacksonville, Alec Pierce vs. Pittsburgh, Jauan Jennings Vs. New York Giants, Chimere Dike vs. Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Power Rankings: Week 9 Wide Receivers

  1. Jaylin Noel offers pure speed in the Houston passing game and may continue to show upside even when the Texans get healthier at WR.
  2. Tez Johnson is becoming a frequent option for Baker Mayfield.
  3. Troy Franklin was the top fantasy scorer at WR in Week 8.
  4. Christian Watson is healthy again and will be a TD threat for Green Bay again.
  5. Chimere Dike is emerging as a prime target for Cam Ward.
  6. Jalen Coker
  7. Xavier Hutchinson
  8. Malik Washington
  9. Jayden Higgins
  10. Darius Slayton

NFL Week 9: Running Backs To Start

START Kimani Vidal: The Chargers RB busted out for 117 yards and a TD on 23 carries last week. His next matchup is against Tennessee, which ranks 29th in rushing yards allowed to RBs over the past four weeks. If you have a close decision between Vidal and another streaming RB this week, start him over the alternative option.

START Kareem Hunt: We are recommending the Kansas City RB for a second consecutive week after he registered two scrimmage TDs in Week 8. We should be expecting a healthy amount of points scored in the marquee matchup between the Chiefs and Bills. Hunt should be a preferred option near the goal line again. Buffalo has allowed nine rushing TDs to opposing RBs, which is second-most in the league.

START Bam Knight: The Cardinals have elevated Knight to a lead RB role due to injury losses at the top of the depth chart. Knight has rushed for two TDs in his last three games. Dallas has allowed the second-most FFPG to RBs this season, so you may get respectable yardage numbers from Knight this week.

START Woody Marks: This rookie can inject some added life into the Houston offense. The versatile Marks has caught seven passes on nine targets in his last two games, with one TD. The Denver secondary may limit the output of the Houston WRs this week, and Marks will be a good outlet for C.J. Stroud out of the backfield.

More Fantasy Football RBs To Start in Week 9: Tyrone Tracy Jr. vs. San Francisco, Kenneth Walker III vs, Washington, Travis Etienne vs. Las Vegas, RJ Harvey vs Houston, David Montgomery vs. Minnesota.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Power Rankings: Week 9 Running Backs

  1. Tyrone Tracy Jr. is the top add of the week as he takes over the lead RB role for the Giants.
  2. Brashard Smith can see more action in the Kansas City backfield as Isiah Pacheco deals with a knee injury.
  3. Bhayshul Tuten may start to get more involved in the Jaguars offense coming out of the bye week.
  4. Tyjae Spears finished with 82 scrimmage yards and rushed for a TD last week.
  5. Isaiah Davis rolled up 99 scrimmage yards for the Jets in Week 8.
  6. Kyle Monangai
  7. Devin Neal
  8. Ollie Gordon II
  9. Dylan Sampson
  10. Tank Bigsby

NFL Week 9: Quarterbacks To Start

START Jared Goff: The Lions are at home this week, and their offense often has more upside at Ford Field. Dating back to the beginning of last season, Goff has registered 29 of his 52 TD passes in home games. Minnesota ranks 29th in FFPG allowed to QBs over the last four weeks.

START Joe Flacco: The Cincinnati offense has come back to life with Flacco at the controls over the past two weeks. He has passed for five TDs and already logged a 340-yard-plus passing game. Chicago ranks 23rd in FFPG allowed to QBs this season.

More Fantasy Football QBs To Start in Week 9: Kyler Murray vs. Dallas, Caleb Williams vs. Cincinnati, Trevor Lawrence vs. Las Vegas, Sam Darnold vs. Washington.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Power Rankings: Week 9 Quarterbacks:

  1. Sam Darnold
  2. Trevor Lawrence
  3. Justin Fields
  4. Tua Tagovailoa

NFL Week 9: Tight Ends To Start

START Kyle Pitts: In Week 8, Pitts caught all nine of his targets and tied his career high with nine receptions. New England ranks 28th in FFPG allowed to TEs.

START Colston Loveland: Stream the rookie TE in Week 9, as he might deliver his best game so far. No team has allowed more TD receptions to TEs than Cincinnati. The Bengals have allowed 10 10 TD catches to TEs, and no other team has allowed more than six.

More Fantasy Football TEs To Start in Week 9: Mark Andrews vs, Miami, T.J. Hockenson vs, Detroit, Noah Fant vs. Chicago, AJ Barner vs. Washington.

  1. Harold Fannin Jr.
  2. Theo Johnson
