Fourth-year cornerback, Devon Witherspoon was recognized by the league as the Week 6 Way to Play award recipient for his play against the Denver Broncos, specifically his coverage and two pass break-ups. The NFL Way to Play award is an effort to raise awareness for and award those who display proper playing technique.
As the award recipient, the NFL Foundation will award a $5,000 equipment grant through USA Football on Witherspoon's behalf to the Pensacola Seahawks Sports Association which is a youth sports organization in Pensacola, Florida, in Witherspoon's hometown.
