The Seahawks are excited to bring you Episode 2 of the five-part series called 'Before the Noise'. The series is the prequel to the season-long docuseries ‘The Sound’.

Episode 1 of 'Before the Noise' looked into the groundwork the Seahawks personnel department accomplished leading up to and through the NFL Combine and took fans inside the meeting room from the NFL Combine.

The second installment of the series sits down with different scouts from the personnel department to talk about Pro Days and local days spending time with local players and free agents. The Seahawks hosted the University of Washington, University of Oregon and Oregon State for the local day.

Josh Graff, an area scout talks about the relationship building between the other area scouts that happens because of the amount of time they spend together.

"I would say 90 percent of us were interns in this building here, so we always kind of grown up together. Everybody kind of learned from whoever was in front of us and you're just naturally going to build some brotherhood that way."

Todd Brunner an area scout said that general manager/president of football operations, John Schneider's personality and leadership allows for a brotherhood environment to prosper. "I think John (Schneider), the reason he's so good at it is because he started where we are. He started as an in-house intern and he's worked his way up. Personality-wise, he hasn't changed. He's still that guy. He understands what we do and he's still a guy's guy."

"I think our boss is as unique as they come," Aaron Hineline, director of college scouting said. "There's a lot of guys that would quit the job they currently have to come work for John."

From now until June, 12s can watch bi-weekly episodes of 'Before the Noise' and grasp a better understanding of all the hard work, dedication and long hours that go into building the Seahawks.

The Seahawks began the week with an on-field workout on Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center.
