Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold was limited in practice all week, but that was part of the plan to manage his oblique injury, and following three days of practice, Darnold is feeling good and ready for Sunday's NFC championship game against the Rams.

"Feeling really good," Darnold said after Friday's practice. "Feeling really good this whole week. Feel like the process is going right along where it should be. Feel really good for Sunday."

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald added that Darnold "did great" in practice this week. "Everything's going to plan, let's put it that way. He's going to play, and we'll take it day by day."

In other positive injury news, the Seahawks will have left tackle Charles Cross for Sunday's game despite a foot injury that kept him out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Cross was a full participant in Friday's practice and does not have a game status designation on the final injury report, meaning he is good to go.

"Charles practiced today," Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said. "He's getting better, but he should be able to play."

Cross, who exited Saturday's win over the 49ers due to the injury, said, "I feel good. Really just leaned on my preparation, getting mental reps this week, understanding the gameplan, just being ready to play fast and execute.

"I feel like the week went really well. I was working with the athletic training staff, creating a plan. Being ready for Sunday was the goal and I feel like we executed it, so the plan is to go out and play Sunday."

Josh Jones, who started the final three games of the regular season in place of an injured Cross, but missed Saturday's game with a knee injury, was also a full participant in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable. Amari Kight, who finished the game for Cross, is listed as doubtful due to a knee injury he suffered in that game.

The Seahawks activated running back George Holani and tight end Elijah Arroyo from injured reserve earlier in the day and neither has a game status, indicating they're ready to play. Linebacker Chazz Surratt, who also returned to practice from IR recently, has been ruled out, meaning he will not be activated.

"George did great," Macdonald said when asked about Holani's practice week. "All of those guys who have been practicing to get ready to come back have done a great job."

In addition to Jones and Kight, the only other player on the 53-man roster with a game status is fullback Robbie Ouzts, who is questionable with a neck injury.

Seahawks Legend Cliff Avril raised the 12 Flag at the top of the Space Needle on Friday, January 23, 2026.
