In partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of King County, the Seahawks are working to engage youth and teens through interactive leadership programming and opportunities to empower their peers and communities.
Senai and Joshua from the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County were the proud recipients of $2,500 scholarships thanks to BECU!
Senai is a freshman with a consistent 4.0 GPA. She was the head of Torch Club since 7th grade and is a future Youth of the Year candidate. She decided to come to Game Changers on her own because she wanted the opportunity to network with other teens and guest speakers. She found the team building night with the sticks to be most beneficial, because it opened the chance to work with others in a close environment.
Josh has been a club kid since elementary school and has always been unique. As a Junior in high school and a leader in the Federal Way Teen Center, he continues to show up and show out not only for his peers, but for his community. He has shown such great leadership skills this year in Game Changers and has multiple years of experience in this program already since being a part of the program since its inception. Josh being a stand out Peer Mentor for the first season we implemented that aspect was a natural fit for him.
