The NFL schedule was released on Wednesday, and for the Seahawks, Mike Macdonald's first season as head coach will open with a home game against Denver, and will include four prime-time games, eight games against 2023 playoff teams, as well as a Week 10 bye.
For the second time in three seasons, the Seahawks will open their season by hosting the Broncos at Lumen Field, though plenty has changed for both teams since Seattle's Week 1 win in 2022, with both teams changing head coaches since then, and with Denver also having moved on from quarterback Russell Wilson, who two years ago made his Broncos debut in a memorable prime-time game against his former team.
The Seahawks' first road game comes in Week 2 when they face the New England Patriots in their first of three games that kick off at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. The Seahawks then return home to host the Dolphins in Week 3, a game that will mark the return of former first-round pick Jordyn Brooks, who signed with Miami this offseason.
In Week 4, the Seahawks will travel to Detroit for Monday Night Football, playing their third game in the Motor City in as many seasons, with the first two games both turning into high-scoring thrillers won by Seattle. The Seahawks host the Giants in Week 5, then in Week 6 they'll open up NFC West play against the defending NFC champs, hosting the 49ers on Thursday Night Football.
Following those two straight home games, the Seahawks are back on the road in Week 7 to face the Atlanta Falcons, then they return home in Week 8 to host the Buffalo Bills. The Rams visit Seattle in Week 9, marking the Seahawks' fourth home game in a five-week stretch prior to a Week 10 bye, a more desirable time for a break than last season when the Seahawks had a Week 5 bye.
Following the bye, the Seahawks head to the Bay Area to face the 49ers in Week 11, then they have another NFC West game in Week 12 with the Cardinals coming to town. The Seahawks head east again in Week 13 to face the Jets, looking to continue their success at MetLife Stadium, where they have a 6-0 record, including their victory in Super Bowl XLVIII as well as four wins over the Giants and one over the Jets. And speaking of road stadiums in which the Seahawks have found success, the Seahawks head to Arizona in Week 14 looking to improve upon an 8-1-1 record against the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium over the past 10 seasons.
The Seahawks are back under the lights in Week 15 when they host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football, marking the fourth straight home game against Green Bay played in prime time, with the Seahawks beating the Packers on Monday night in 2012, and on Thursday night in both 2014 and 2018.
After a home game against the Vikings in Week 16, the Seahawks will close out their regular season with back-to-back road games, the first of which is a Thursday night contest in Chicago on December 26, Seattle's fourth prime-time game of the season. Week 18 will see the Seahawks finish the regular season in Los Angeles to face the Rams on either Saturday, January 4 or on Sunday the 5th at a time yet to be determined.
As for the preseason, the Seahawks will open things up with a road game against the Los Angeles Chargers, then will play their second preseason game in Nashville against the Tennessee Titans. Seattle will close out its preseason at home against the Browns. Seattle's preseason opener will be televised on KONG, with the next two games airing on KING 5, with dates and times still to be determined.
