The Seahawks' 2024 schedule is here, and it features four prime-time games, plenty of intriguing matchups, a Week 10 bye, and some very challenging opponents with eight of 17 games coming against teams that made the playoffs last season. For more on all 17 games, here's a game-by-game look at the Seahawks' 2024 regular-season schedule:
Week 1: vs. Denver Broncos, September 8, 1:05 p.m., CBS
The Mike Macdonald era officially kicks off with the Broncos opening in Seattle for the second time in three seasons, though this time Dever will obviously have a new starting quarterback than they did for their high-profile 2022 opener in Seattle. If first-round pick Bo Nix wins the starting QB job, the Seahawks will try to continue his bad luck against Seattle-based teams after his Oregon Ducks went 0-3 against Washington over the past two seasons.
Week 2: at New England Patriots, September 15, 10 a.m., FOX
The Seahawks head east for the first of three 10 a.m. PT games in a matchup of two franchises that moved on from coaching legends in 2024. And in a Seattle sports and music fan's dream, the Seahawks and Pearl Jam are both playing in the Boston area on the same day, with Pearl Jam playing at Fenway Park Sunday night. Road trip!
Week 3: vs. Miami Dolphins, September 22, 1:05 p.m., CBS
The Dolphins, who led the league in total yards and passing yards in 2023 while finishing second in scoring and yards-per-play average, should provide a big early-season test for Mike Macdonald's defense. This game will also see former Seahawks first-round pick Jordyn Brooks face his former team for the first time since signing with the Dolphins in free agency.
Week 4: at Detroit Lions, September 30, 5:15 p.m., ABC
For the third straight season, the Seahawks will play at Detroit, and fans can only hope this year's Monday night showdown is exciting as the last two meetings, which saw the Seahawks win 48-45 in 2022, and 37-31 in overtime in 2023. A fun fact about both of those games—unless you're Jared Goff—a Seahawks cornerback recorded a 40-yard pick-six in each meeting, with Riq Woolen pulling it off in 2022, and with Tre Brown matching that feat last season.
Week 5: vs. New York Giants, October 6, 1:25 p.m., CBS
The Seahawks have won six of their last seven against the Giants dating back to 2011, including a dominant win in New Jersey last year and a win at Lumen in 2022. This game could add a lot of intrigue if Drew Lock, who signed with the Giants this offseason, is able to win the starting quarterback job.
Week 6: vs. San Francisco 49ers, October 10, 5:15 p.m., Prime Video
The defending NFC champs come to Seattle having won five in a row in this NFC West rivalry, postseason included, so this game is a great opportunity for Macdonald and company to make an early statement. This is also Seattle's third Thursday night home game against the 49ers in as many seasons.
Week 7: at Atlanta Falcons, October 20, 10 a.m., FOX
First-round pick Michael Penix Jr., who spent the last two seasons putting up huge numbers at Washington under current Seahawks offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, likely won't be starting this game, but instead the Seahawks will see Kirk Cousins, a veteran QB the franchise has faced several times throughout his career. The Seahawks will be looking for a third straight win in Atlanta having won there in both 2019 and 2020.
Week 8: vs. Buffalo Bills, October 27, 1:05 p.m., FOX
Another top AFC offense and quarterback come to town as the Bills play in Seattle for the first time since 2016, two seasons before Josh Allen became their franchise quarterback. The Seahawks won that last meeting in Seattle, but the Bills came out on top the last time these teams faced off in 2020.
Week 9: Los Angeles Rams, November 3, 1:25 p.m., FOX
The Seahawks' fourth home game in five weeks will feature another matchup with an NFC West foe, and another chance for Macdonald to match wits with one of the league's top offensive minds in Rams coach Sean McVay.
Week 10: BYE
Week 11: at San Francisco 49ers, November 17, 1:05 p.m., FOX
The Seahawks come out of their bye week facing a tough test, and they'll be looking to get back their winning ways in Santa Clara, having won six of their first seven games at Levi's Stadium before the 49ers won the last two.
Week 12: vs. Arizona Cardinals, November 24, 1:25 p.m., FOX
Presuming quarterback Kyler Murray is healthy, the Cardinals should be a significantly better team in 2024 than they were in last year's 4-13 campaign, and even that squad played opponents tough, including the Seahawks in Week 18, a game that went down to the wire. Seattle's secondary will get a good test in rookie receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., the No. 4 pick in this year's draft.
Week 13: at New York Jets, December 1, 10 a.m., FOX
The Jets are counting on Year 2 of the Aaron Rodgers era to go significantly better than it did last year, when he tore his Achilles on the first drive of the season. Assuming the future Hall of Fame quarterback is healthy, this should be a tough test for a Seahawks franchise that has had a ton of success in New Jersey, winning all six games they've played at Met Life Stadium, including a resounding victory in Super Bowl XLVIII.
Week 14: at Arizona Cardinals, December 8, 1:05 p.m., CBS
The Seahawks play back-to-back road games twice in the final six weeks of the season, but much like Met Life Stadium, the Seahawks have had plenty of success at State Farm Stadium, going 8-1-1 in their last 10 road games against Arizona.
Week 15: vs. Green Bay Packers, December 15, 5:20 p.m., NBC
In a series dominated by the home team, the Seahawks will be looking for their fifth straight home win over the Packers, postseason included, a streak that started with Golden Tate's game-winning touchdown catch in 2012. This will be the fourth straight prime-time game between these teams in Seattle, with Seattle winning two Thursday night games as well as the aforementioned Monday night game in 2012.
Week 16: vs. Minnesota Vikings, December 22, 1:05 p.m., FOX
A second straight home game against an NFC North opponent could very well see rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy facing a team with a coaching staff that has some familiarity with the first-round pick out of Michigan. Not only was Macdonald the defensive coordinator at Michigan in 2021, McCarthy's first season there, Seahawks special teams coordinator Jay Harbaugh was also in Michigan throughout McCarthy's college career. The Seahawks will be shooting for a fourth straight home win over the Vikings, though Minnesota won the most recent meeting in 2021.
Week 17: at Chicago Bears, December 26, 5:15 p.m., Prime Video
The Seahawks play two Thursday night games for the second year in a row, and this time they'll head to Chicago for a Boxing Day showdown against No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams and University of Washington All-American receiver Rome Odunze, who was the ninth overall pick. The Bears have won two straight in the series, with the Seahawks winning the previous four regular-season contests dating back to 2010.
Week 18: at Los Angeles Rams, January 4 or 5, time/broadcast TBD
For more than a decade, the final game of the season has come with playoff implications, and the Seahawks will expect nothing less this season. And if the Seahawks do indeed have playoff seeding or a postseason berth on the line, they'll no doubt have their hands full against a Rams team that has been a thorn in Seattle's side since Sean McVay took over in 2017.
