• Posted 6.0 sacks in 2024 and teamed with LB Derick Hall for a defensive touchdown at Atlanta (10/20/24). Mafe sacked Falcons QB Kirk Cousins and Hall was there to scoop up the loose ball, returning it 36 yards for a score.
• In 2023, led club with a career-high nine sacks, and registered at least 1.0 sack in seven-consecutive games, the longest streak in franchise history.
• Played in all 17 games (three starts) during rookie campaign in 2022, tallying 38 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Part of Seattle's productive rookie class which finished second in the NFL with a combined 4,868 offensive and defensive snaps played.
COLLEGE: Played in 42 career games with 14 starts and made 87 tackles (59 solo), 19.5 tackles for loss and 15 sacks (ninth all-time in school history). Also forced three fumbles and broke up three passes. Named All-Big Ten second-team by the media in 2021, All-Big Ten third-team by conference coaches in 2021, All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2020 and was Academic All-Big Ten in 2020 and 2021. Started nine of 13 games his senior year and posted 34 tackles (26 solo) and led team in tackles for loss (10) and sacks (7). Forced one fumble.
PERSONAL: Attended Hopkins High School. As a senior, made 78 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and four sacks. Named to the 2016 Vikings MFCA All-Star Team and earned KARE 11 All-Metro Defense honors. Received all-state second-team defense honors. As a junior, recorded 40 tackles, three tackles for loss and one sack. Scout and 247 Sports gave him three stars, while Rivals gave him two. Scout ranked him the No. 1 defensive end in Minnesota, the no. 76 player at his position and as the No. 108 prospect in the Midwest. 247 Sports and Rivals both ranked him as the No. 5 recruit in Minnesota. Also lettered in track and field.
