Biography
Neeru Khosla is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the CK-12 Foundation, a nonprofit
that provides AI powered Student Tutor, AI powered Teacher Assistant and multi-modal
curriculum for K-12 math and science since 2007. After training as a molecular biologist and
earning a master's degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Education, she founded CK-12
on the conviction that every student, regardless of background, deserves high-quality,
personalized learning. Under her leadership, CK-12 has served more than 450 million learners
worldwide, and its AI-powered tools — including the Flexi student tutor and teacher assistant —
now deliver adaptive, personalized support built on that foundation.
As the Executive Director of CK-12 Foundation, Neeru has demonstrated exceptional leadership
and operational excellence by making CK-12 an unstoppable force in K-12 STEM education.
CK-12's Artificial Intelligence- powered personalized learning platform delivers a comprehensive
K-12 math and science curriculum to students, teachers, and curriculum developers across the
United States and around the world, helping school districts save millions of dollars while
improving student outcomes and engagement. To achieve this inspiring success, Neeru has
built a stellar team of diverse skill sets - from strong domain expertise in Math and Science, to
high performing engineering and AI research teams.
Neeru has served on the Board of Trustees of The Nueva School, the Board of Directors of the
High Tech High Graduate School of Education, and the advisory boards of the Stanford Graduate
School of Education, the Wikimedia Foundation, IDEO.org, and DonorsChoose. She is a founding
member of the K-12 Initiative at Stanford's Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school). She and
her husband Vinod are currently signatories of the Giving Pledge
