Thomas Garcia enters his seventh season in the Seahawks strength & conditioning department after spending his first six seasons with the club serving as a sport science specialist.
For the 2017-18 seasons, Garcia assisted the medical staff in the team's return-to-play process, developing end-stage rehabilitation strength programs and assisting in on-field conditioning programs for players returning to competition. Being duel credentialed as an ATC/CSCS and experienced in sport science has allowed Garcia to have a unique perspective in athletic development and performance.
His role is the re-conditioning and performance coordinator within the strength & conditioning program. He will assist in the planning and implementation of all re-conditioning needs for players in the end stages of rehabilitation using sports performance data to objectively evaluate progression and management. Garcia will also assist in the planning and implementation of all alternative on-field conditioning and weight room modifications and needs for injured or limited players.
