Named to the Seahawks staff on March 12, 2026, Johnathan Williams joined the NFL ranks following eight seasons in college, serving as South Carolina State's offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach in 2025, where he helped the Bulldogs to a 10-3 record, averaging 32.4 points per game, and a victory in the Celebration Bowl.

Named to the Seahawks staff on March 12, 2026, Johnathan Williams joined the NFL ranks following eight seasons in college, serving as South Carolina State's offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach in 2025, where he helped the Bulldogs to a 10-3 record, averaging 32.4 points per game, and a victory in the Celebration Bowl.

Before joining the Bulldogs, he served in the same capacity at Benedict College (2024), helping the Tigers to an 11-1 record and a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship, following two seasons as Southern University's quarterbacks coach (2022-23). He began his coaching career at Prairie View A&M as assistant quarterbacks coach in 2018 before leading that position group from 2019-21).

At Southern, the Jaguars won the Southwesterns Athletic Conference (SWAC) title as the team ranked in the top-five in total offense, passing offense, rushing offense and points per game. 

While in college, Williams has been named offensive coordinator for two HBCU Legacy Bowls and coach of the 14U USA National Team.

He is one of the most prolific quarterbacks in Grambling State University history, leading the SWAC in every notable passing category for the 2014-15 seasons, and in 2015, he led the FCS in touchdown passes (39) and was named the SWAC Offensive Player of the Year. He was also named most valuable player of the Bayou Classic vs. Southern on three occasions. 

He graduated Grambling with a degree in engineering technology.
