We got the chills the moment we stepped foot on the turf, walking around as our favorite players warmed up, taking their photos, and getting to meet Cortez Kennedy was something we never would've imagined. Special thanks to the Seahawks photographer, Corky, he was incredibly polite, and we had no idea how hard an NFL photographer works.
After trying to keep up with the fast-moving action on the sidelines, photographing the first quarter of the game, we were actually both excited and relieved to go enjoy the second-quarter up in the press box. A chance to catch our breath!
Spending the second quarter of the game in the play-by-play booth was as enjoyable as it was interesting. It was a pleasure meeting Steve Raible and Warren Moon. I grew up idolizing Warren Moon from his days at the University of Washington. And Steve Raible, while watching him work under such adversity, as the Seahawks fell behind 21-0 was really impressive.
The premium club seats that we enjoyed in the second half of the game, were the most perfect place to enjoy watching history unfold, as the Seahawks mounted their history-making comeback and won the game in overtime!
We were delighted, at the end of the game when we had the opportunity to meet and greet Jermaine Kearse. We followed his career throughout the University of Washington, and he played a huge part that day scoring a touchdown. He was super cool, and even apologized to us for fumbling earlier in the game - what a super nice guy.
Our incredible day culminated with what turned out to be our favorite part – attending the press conference and being up close and listening to both Coach Carroll and Russell Wilson. Getting to say hello and shaking hands with Russell Wilson was both my son's and my dream come true. Talk about dominating a room, and possessing the "it" factor, now I understand clearly what that means.
We would like to send out a huge thank you to the people at State Farm, and all of the staff of the Seattle Seahawks that made this day happen. A truly special day within a most special season.
