Seahawks, USAA Honor Military In Annual 'Change of Command' Ceremony
Seahawks players, Blitz, and the Sea Gals teamed up with USAA to honor members of the armed forces at Joint Base Lewis McChord on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 as part of the annual 'Change of Command' ceremony that presents a 12 Flag to the team's honored military unit for the season. The Seahawks welcomed in the 62nd Air Lift Wing - Air Force as their honored unit for 2018 through a 12 Flag hand-off with 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), which held the honor last year. Pizza Hut and Coca-Cola donated food and beverage for the event.
Walmart Helps "Plus Up" 12 Flag Experience For Dr. Fagley And Team
The first 12 Flag raiser of the season will be Dr. Eliot Fagley, representing the Critical Care Unit's COVID-19 response team at Virginia Mason Medical Center. To celebrate, the Seahawks teamed up with Walmart to "plus up" the experience for Dr. Fagley and his team with a special 12 Flag raising at Virginia Mason, Walmart+ memberships for the entire COVID-19 response team, and a $50,000 donation by Walmart in personal protective equipment to the Virginia Mason Health System.
