Week 4 NFL High School 2008 Coach of the Week Award

Everett High School and Willapa High School head football coaches Will Soren and Rob Friese are the week four recipients of the Seattle Seahawks/NFL High School Coach of the Week award for the 3A/4A and B/1A/2A classifications respectively.

Coach Soren's Everett High School Seagulls defeated Oak Harbor High School 28-6 on September 26. The victory improved EHS's season record to 3-1 and moved the Seagulls into first place in the 3A Wesco Conference standings.

The Willapa Valley Vikings are off to a 4-0 start and have a one game lead over North Beach High School in the 2B Pacific League standings. The Vikings defeated Ocosta High School 42-7 on September 26. Coach Friese has lead his team to a 35-point per game average while only allowing opponents to score nine points per game.

The Seattle Seahawks High School Coach of the Week award winners in Washington State are selected by members of the Washington State Football Coaches Association. Recipients of the award receive a $500 donation for their football program from the Seattle Seahawks and a $100 savings bond from Sterling Savings Bank. At the conclusion of the high school football season one coach will be selected as the NFL High School Coach of the Year for the state of Washington. The NFL High School Coach of the Year receives a $2,000 grant.
