Wednesday Round-Up: Seahawks QB Russell Wilson To Star In New ESPN Series

Russell Wilson will be mentoring quarterbacks from the 2018 NFL Draft class in a new series for ESPN.

Good afternoon, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today – Wednesday, March 7 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

Wilson QB Camp?

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will be coaching up quarterbacks from the 2018 NFL Draft class in a new series of SportsCenter specials that are set to hit next month.

Wilson's new special will be filling in for former ESPN analyst and now current Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden, who coached up prospects on the enteraining "Gruden's QB Camp," which took place the past eight years.

Titled "QB2QB," Wilson will work and share his experiences with quarterbacks such as Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma State's Mason Rudolph and Ohio State's J.T. Barrett in 30-minute specials set to air in the coming weeks. Wilson will also have a special with Penn State and projected top-5 pick Saquon Barkely called "QB2RB."

Wilson via ESPN said: "Jon Gruden's QB Camp was one of my favorite experiences of the NFL draft process because it helped prepare me for some of the physical and mental demands of playing in the NFL.

"Now, I'm excited to have the opportunity to meet Baker, Saquon, Mason and J.T. to try to help them get ready for the next level as part of ESPN's QB2QB. At the same time, I look forward to feeding off their energy and excitement as I prepare myself for the new experiences that await me this season."
