Wednesday Round-Up: Pete Carroll To Be Inducted Into USC Athletics Hall Of Fame

A daily link round-up of what's "out there" about your Seattle Seahawks

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Wednesday, May 13 - about your Seattle Seahawks:

Fight On

This weekend, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll will head back to USC, the school he coached to a 97-19 record and two national titles from 2001-09.

On Friday, Carroll will receive an honorary degree at the university's commencement ceremony and on Saturday the former Trojans football coach will be inducted into the USC Athletics Hall of Fame.

Carroll joined the Seahawks in 2010 and led the club to its first Super Bowl victory four years later, becoming one of just three coaches to win a college football national title and a Super Bowl.

Seahawks Top 2015 Projected Standings

In an Insider feature for, Aaron Shatz uses Football Outsiders' defense-adjusted value over average ratings to predict 2015 records for each team in the NFC. The Seahawks, with a projected record of 12-4, top the conference.

Here's a snippet from Schatz's piece for ESPN:

"Seattle is the blatantly obvious, slam-dunk favorite to sit atop the NFL again after Super Bowl 50. This doesn't mean Seattle will win. Predicting the season is about probabilities. With 32 teams in the mix right now, and so many things unknown, the Seahawks are far from an even-money bet to have another championship season. But Seattle has the highest probability of being a serious Super Bowl contender, and the fewest question marks going into the 2015 season. No other team comes close, and Dallas is the only other team with a mean win projection above 10.6."

Which Seahawk Is In The Top 100?

NFL Network's countdown of the Top 100 players of 2015 continues tonight at 6 p.m. PT, when players ranked No. 90-81 will be unveiled.

The list, which was determined solely by NFL players, will feature its first Seahawk this week, when a defensive player who has never made NFL Network's Top 100 list before will be revealed.

In case you miss it, check back at later this evening, when we'll recap which Seattle player made the cut.

Tweet Of The Day
