We'll be taking a look back at the 2005 Seahawks this Thursday at 8 p.m. with a season review, produced by NFL Films, live on our YouTube channel.

The squad went 13-3 during the regular season, winning the NFC West and securing the #1 seed for the first time in franchise history. They marched through the NFC side of the playoff bracket with relative ease to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl, another first for the organization. Prior to 2013, the 2005 Seahawks were indisputably the best team in franchise history.

The Seahawks were nearly unstoppable on offense in 2005. The offensive line, featuring two future Hall of Famers in Walter Jones and Steve Hutchinson, provided plenty of opportunities for quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and running back Shaun Alexander. The well-balanced attack scored 452 points, the most in the NFL. Alexander was particularly dominant, leading the league in rushing with 1,880 yards and breaking the single-season touchdown record with 28. He was eventually named the NFL MVP, the only Seahawks player to ever win the award.

This recap video, produced by NFL Films at the conclusion of the season, features all of the big plays and moments from throughout the year.
