Tuesday Round-Up: Where will the Seahawks pick in the 2015 NFL Draft?

A daily link round-up of what's "out there" about your Seattle Seahawks

!

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Tuesday, March 24 - about your Seattle Seahawks:

The Picks Are In

As a result of their losses in last year's free agency period, the Seahawks were awarded four compensatory picks in the 2015 NFL Draft last night.

The picks the team received will come in the fourth round (No. 134 overall), fifth round (No. 170 overall), and sixth round (Nos. 209 & 214 overall). The selections come from losing wide receiver Golden Tate to the Detroit Lions, offensive lineman Breno Giacomini to the New York Jets, cornerback Brandon Browner to the New England Patriots, and defensive tackle Clinton McDonald to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With the four compensatory picks in hand, the Seahawks now have 11 choices in this year's draft which is set to be held April 30 - May 2 in Chicago, Ill. It's important to note that compensatory picks cannot be traded, but the team's exact picks in the 2015 draft break down as follows:

First Round (0) - No pick. The Seahawks traded the No. 31 overall selection to the New Orleans Saints as part of the deal to acquire tight end Jimmy Graham.

Second Round (1) - The Seahawks have their own pick at No. 63 overall.

Third Round (1) - The Seahawks have their own pick at No. 95 overall.

Fourth Round (3) - The Seahawks have the pick they acquired from the Saints at No. 112 overall, their own pick at No. 130 overall, and the first of their four compensatory picks at No. 134 overall.

Fifth Round (2) - The Seahawks have their own pick at No. 167 overall and their second compensatory pick at No. 170 overall.

Sixth Round (3) - The Seahawks traded their own sixth-round pick for cornerback Marcus Burley last year, but the club has pick No. 180 overall from the New York Jets as part of last year's trade of wide receiver Percy Harvin, as well as its final two compensatory picks at Nos. 209 and 214 overall.

UPDATE (3/25, 1 p.m. PT): The Seahawks' No. 180 overall pick from the Jets became No. 181 overall after changes the NFL Management Council made to the 2015 compensatory draft selections.

Seventh Round (1) - The Seahawks have their own pick at No. 248 overall.
