Tuesday Round-Up: Falcons Head Coach Dan Quinn Has "A Lot Of Gratitude" For Seahawks Organization

A daily link round-up of what's "out there" about the Seattle Seahawks.

Good afternoon, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Tuesday, October 11 - about your Seattle Seahawks:

Dan Quinn's Return To Seattle

This week's game against the Falcons will be former Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn's first trip back to Seattle to face the team he helped advance to back-to-back Super Bowls from 2013-14, winning one. Quinn, Atlanta's head coach since the start of the 2015 season, brought his team to the Pacific Northwest directly after the Falcons' Week 5 victory at the home of the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos. According to ESPN.com, Atlanta will begin practicing outdoors at the University of Washington starting Wednesday, and yesterday, Quinn was asked about his 4-1 club going up against his former team and old mentor in Seattle head coach Pete Carroll.

"I get the question, I know it's going to come up some a bunch this week," Quinn said Monday via ESPN's Vaughn McClure. "Honestly, I'd be crazy not to learn a lot from Coach Carroll. But this week, I feel a little bit uncomfortable talking about me. I just so want it to be about our guys, the team.

"(Carroll) had a huge impact on me as a coach in a lot of ways. But honestly this week, I'd be more comfortable ... I just hate having any of the topic back to my way. But I do understand the story. Yeah, I learned a great deal. I've got a lot of gratitude for the front office men there, associates there, players there. They're a big reason why I get to wear the Falcons logo every day, because of a lot of those guys."

Kickoff for Sunday's game between the Seahawks and Falcons is set for 1:25 p.m. PT at CenturyLink Field.
