Tuesday Round-Up: ESPN Names Best Offseason Addition For Each NFL Team

ESPN.com looks at the best offseason acquisitions for each of the NFL's 32 teams.

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Tuesday, May 23 - about your Seattle Seahawks:

Seattle's Best Offseason Addition

ESPN NFL Nation's staff of writers took on the task of naming the single most important offseason acquisition for each of the League's 32 teams, taking into account drafted rookies, rookies signed as undrafted free agents, coaches, front-office executives, free-agent signings and more.

When it comes to the Seahawks, ESPN.com's Sheil Kapadia picked running back Eddie Lacy as the team's most significant addition this offseason. Here's what Kapadia had to say about Lacy coming from Green Bay to Seattle on the NFL's open market.

In both 2015 and 2016, the Seahawks were left scrambling at times because of injuries at running back. Lacy is on a one-year deal and should receive a nice paycheck -- either from the Seahawks or another team -- if he turns in an impressive 2017 campaign. He has the bruising style Pete Carroll likes and has averaged 2.15 yards after contact since entering the NFL, sixth-best among running backs. Seattle's offense is at its best when the run game is clicking. With Lacy, Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise, the Seahawks have given themselves multiple options for 2017.

Tweet Of The Day

Today's "Tweet of the Day" comes from Seahawks strong safety Kam Chancellor, who's hosting a free cookout and carnival this Saturday, May 27 in his hometown of Norfolk, Virginia. The get together is part of a larger Memorial Day weekend series of events which Chancellor has been running the past several years through his Kam Cares Foundation.
